2026 Compliance Calendar

Report to Cal/OSHA within 24 hours if employee hospitalized for occupational injury/illness. Fatalities must be reported within 8 hours. Incidents include: needlestick, assault, serious burns, fractures. Use Cal/OSHA's online reporting system or phone.

Review and update FQHC Injury & Illness Prevention Plan annually. Includes bloodborne pathogen exposure control, injury reporting, hazard correction, employee training, workplace violence prevention (SB 553), and safety committee records.

SB 553 (2023) requires all healthcare employers to train supervisors and managers on workplace violence prevention. Training must cover risk identification, de-escalation, reporting, and employer responsibilities. Non-compliance = Cal/OSHA citations ($19K+).

Each provider's credentialing must be renewed every 2 years. Track expiration dates and begin renewal 90 days before expiration.
