The WeCare Group (formerly Southern Trinity Health Services, incorporated 1977) is a private non-profit FQHC designated in 2005, serving the frontier communities of southern Trinity and southeastern Humboldt Counties from three locations: Mad River (headquarters), Scotia, and Weaverville. WeCare provides medical, dental, and behavioral health services and is home to Southern Trinity Area Rescue (STAR), a volunteer emergency medical dispatch covering 1,250 square miles.
