HRSA Awards $125M for Nutrition Services at Health Centers Under MAHA Initiative
HRSA announced $135M+ in funding: $125M to 350+ health centers for nutrition services and food-based interventions within primary care (preventing/managing chronic illness), plus $11.25M for 15 Rural Residency Planning grants ($750K each for family medicine, psychiatry, OB/GYN, surgery). Branded under MAHA (Make America Healthy Again) priorities.
This is the first major MAHA-branded funding to directly reach FQHCs.
