Lawsuit sends LA County's Measure ER health tax money into escrow

Los AngelesMore from California

Issue

On September 29, 2026, Los Angeles County's chief executive told supervisors that an August lawsuit forces all Measure ER revenue into escrow until the case ends. The final budget counts no Measure ER money this year, and LA Health Services will use $784.5 million in reserves.

Clinics expecting Measure ER contracts should plan without that money for now.
