Shasta County closes a Redding office that handled Medi-Cal eligibility
Issue
Shasta County's health and human services agency closed its eligibility office at 1400 California Street in Redding on September 23, 2026, as Shasta Scout reported. It is the third such office to close in recent years, and no replacement site or date has been named.
Patients can still renew Medi-Cal at four other offices or on BenefitsCal.
