Stanislaus County adopts budget with $20.5 million for indigent care
Issue
Stanislaus County supervisors adopted a $1.95 billion budget for 2026-27 on September 15, 2026. It sets aside $20.5 million in case H.R. 1 forces the county to restart its Medically Indigent Adult program, and its Health Services Agency deletes 36 vacant positions, including two community health worker jobs.
