NACHC backs the mental health telehealth waiver and seeks a PPS review
Issue
On September 14, 2026, NACHC backed the CMS plan to keep waiving the in-person visit rule for health center mental health telehealth through December 31, 2027. NACHC says a 2.5% update does not resolve a PPS rate built on old costs, and that Medicare pays health centers about half the in-person rate for medical telehealth.
