Members under 19, people designated by the county as pregnant or within the one-year postpartum period, and qualifying foster or former foster youth under 26 retain full dental under the exceptions DHCS lists. Emergency services continue through the Medi-Cal Dental fee-for-service program and include urgent treatment for severe pain, swelling, infection, bleeding, trauma, and specified after-surgery needs.
