KFF's enrollment tracker, updated September 25, 2026, shows Medicaid enrollment fell by 5.1 million, or 6%, from June 2025 to June 2026. Total Medicaid and CHIP enrollment dropped in 49 states and DC, from a gain under 1% in Iowa to a 19% drop in Indiana, leaving 73.2 million people enrolled.
