Originally founded as the Asian and Pacific Islander Wellness Center (APIWC), this San Francisco FQHC rebranded in 2023 as San Francisco Community Health Center (SFCHC) to reflect its expanded mission serving LGBTQ+ communities, people of color, and Tenderloin/South of Market residents. The organization provides primary care, dental, behavioral health, trans health services, HIV/STI services, street medicine for unhoused residents, and harm reduction programs across 6 locations. Its TransHOPE program lost $300,000+ in federal funding in February 2026.
