About the Role
Behavioral health clinician for the Karuk Tribe's health program in the Klamath River canyon. The Karuk people have faced devastating trauma — Klamath River dam removal (now complete), forest fires, historical trauma. The river is coming back; the community is healing.
Requirements
- LCSW or MFT license in California required
- Indigenous affirming care required — Karuk cultural protocols, healing ceremonies, and salmon-centered cosmology respected
- Historical trauma from dams, logging, and forced displacement is central to clinical work
- Native American identity or verified tribal community experience strongly preferred
- Willingness to live in remote rural Siskiyou County required
