On its surveillance page last updated August 14, the Vermont Department of Health reports five 2026 mosquito pools positive for West Nile virus and one positive for Jamestown Canyon virus, with no reported human or animal cases in 2026. It says mosquito testing and human- and animal-illness reports are summarized weekly during summer and early fall.

This is a public-health readiness signal only: positive mosquito pools are not human incidence, an outbreak, clinical burden, health-center workload, or outcomes. The page is dynamic, so the counts and no-case statement are bounded to its August 14 update.

At the July 19, 2026 observation checkpoint, Lamoille Health Partners' pharmacy page says its Stowe pharmacy fills and transfers prescriptions for Lamoille patients and community members who receive care elsewhere, offers free prescription delivery through the U.S. Postal Service, and posts hours of 8:00 a.m.–6:00 p.m. Monday–Friday and 9:00 a.m.–2:00 p.m. Saturday.

The page also advertises walk-in flu and COVID-19 vaccines for people age 18 and older and says FQHC medication-purchase savings are passed to Lamoille Health Partners patients, with most of its patients saving money. It does not quantify discounts, delivery geography or timing, inventory, prescription volume, staffing, vaccine supply, utilization, adherence or clinical outcomes; community access does not mean every user receives FQHC pricing, and posted services and hours should be confirmed.

This current pharmacy listing should not be read as evidence that the separately reported Stowe medical practice remains open.

At the July 19, 2026 observation checkpoint, Mountain Community Health's school-based-care page says its collaboration with MAUSD will place nurse practitioners and physicians in the Mt. Abe Health Office for routine and urgent visits scheduled through school nurses. Students and staff who are not Mountain Community Health patients may also be seen without changing their primary-care provider.

The linked FAQ lists acute-illness care, concussion management, chronic-condition care coordination, mental-health care, injury care, limited laboratory testing, sexual-health services, wellness counseling and sports physicals, with sliding-scale options for people without insurance; it says walk-ins may be seen only if the schedule allows.

The live page says clinicians will be onsite “on Fridays,” while the linked FAQ says “every other Friday throughout the school year.” These current first-party descriptions conflict on cadence, so neither should be selected without confirmation from the school nurse.

The undated sources do not establish an opening or first-service date, completed visits, staffing, capacity, enrollment, visit volume, wait-time change or outcomes.

At the July 19, 2026 observation checkpoint, Battenkill Valley Health Center's Arlington contact page posts medical hours of 7:00 a.m.–6:00 p.m. Monday–Thursday and 7:00 a.m.–4:00 p.m. Friday; medical-triage hours of 8:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m. Monday–Thursday and 8:00 a.m.–4:00 p.m. Friday; and dental hours of 8:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m. Monday, Wednesday and Thursday, 8:00 a.m.–6:00 p.m. Tuesday, and 8:00 a.m.–1:00 p.m. Friday.

It also says BVHC providers are on call through an answering service for after-hours emergency medical coverage. These are posted operating windows, not an opening or expansion date.

The on-call service is not an open clinic, dental coverage, guaranteed response time or 24/7 in-person care; the page does not establish appointment or walk-in availability, staffing, utilization, wait-time change or outcomes, and patients should confirm schedules directly.

BlueCross BlueShield of Vermont withdrew its proposed lower-premium, higher-deductible Vermont Basic plans from 2027 marketplace consideration in a June 25 letter. The Green Mountain Care Board had deferred approval until its normal August review and requested additional conditions; BlueCross said that timing was too late.

The withdrawn bronze proposal would have carried a deductible as high as $11,800 and a narrower, largely in-state network. The product therefore did not become a 2027 marketplace option, and its proposed premiums or network must not be presented as in effect.

Little Rivers Health Care reported that its Newbury Clinic dental-hygiene service saw 326 dental patients during its first 12 months. The operator also recorded 127 silver-diamine-fluoride applications, 87 teeth treated with the Silver Modified Atraumatic Restorative Technique since tracking began in October, and 192 fluoride-varnish applications.

Rivendell Interstate School District schools arrange transportation for students to receive dental-hygiene care at Little Rivers. The activity counts are not necessarily unique-patient counts across measures, and the SMART count covers a shorter tracking interval.

The source does not report appointment capacity, wait times, payer mix, cost, staffing FTEs or clinical outcomes.

Gifford Health Care, Inc. announced that Logan Teresa Porter, MD, FAAFP, joined its primary care team and is accepting patients at Gifford's Randolph primary care clinic. Gifford describes Porter as a board-certified family physician with more than 35 years of experience spanning family medicine, community health care, emergency medicine, tribal health care, hospital medicine and urgent care.

The source verifies one clinician addition and current patient acceptance at one clinic; it does not report full-time-equivalent status, schedule, panel size, appointment availability, whether the role is new or a replacement, a net staffing change, wait-time effects or visit outcomes.

Blue Cross Blue Shield of Vermont filed a proposed 5.2% increase for 2027 individual-plan premiums and 3.1% for small-group plans. WCAX compared those requests with increases of almost 10% for individual coverage and around 4% for small groups in the prior year.

The Green Mountain Care Board was expected to approve or deny the filing by August. The source does not report an MVP filing, disenrollment projection, morbidity adjustment, marketplace enrollment count or resulting FQHC volume, so those prior assertions have been removed.

Northern Counties Health Care, Inc. announced equipment upgrades for its dental network after Northern Counties Dental Center received funding from Northeast Delta Dental. NCHC reported a purchased compressor, an updated suction unit and 2D panoramic x-ray, and a new autoclave to be shared across all three dental sites.

Its largest dental site serves more than 6,300 patients annually from Hardwick and surrounding communities across four Vermont counties. NCHC says the equipment strengthens imaging, procedure efficiency, patient comfort and sterilization capacity; the release does not disclose the grant amount, added chairs or rooms, expanded hours, staffing changes, appointment growth, wait-time changes or post-installation outcomes.

Community Health Centers of the Rutland Region reported that its 231 North Main Street headquarters was completed in September 2024 and houses its Behavioral Health department and Patient Access Center. The 17,000-square-foot facility includes separate pediatric and adult waiting areas, a crisis room, 11 therapy and counseling rooms for children and 25 for adults.

The annual report says more than 60 clinicians and staff work on site across counseling, therapy, substance-use counseling, medication-assisted treatment and outpatient behavioral-health services. The combined count is not a clinician or FTE count, and the source does not provide a baseline, project cost, operating hours, appointment capacity or quantified wait-time or patient outcomes.
