About the Role
Assist ophthalmologists and optometrists at FHCSD's specialty eye care clinic, performing visual acuity testing, tonometry, slit lamp prep, and ophthalmic photography for predominantly Medi-Cal patients with diabetic eye disease.
Requirements
Certified Ophthalmic Assistant (COA) or Ophthalmic Technician credential preferred
1+ year ophthalmic clinical experience; experience with retinal imaging and visual field testing
Bilingual Spanish/English preferred for FHCSD's predominantly Spanish-speaking patient population
Familiarity with Medi-Cal ophthalmology billing and prior authorization processes
