Jim Macrae leads HRSA's Bureau of Primary Health Care, the division that directly oversees all federally qualified health center operations. Macrae is the federal official who most directly interacts with health center operations — from new access point applications to scope of project changes to compliance actions.
Macrae is the person who runs the health center program day-to-day. His conference presentations, BPHC program assistance letters, and webinars contain the operational guidance that your compliance team needs. When UDS reporting requirements change, scope of project rules shift, or new site visit protocols are announced, it comes from Macrae's office. He is the most important federal official for FQHC operations.
